Evaluate the Evidence and Draw Conclusions
Evaluating the Evidence
Before drawing your conclusions you must consider the following . . .
- Is the evidence you have gathered good enough to allow firm conclusions to be made?
- Consider any reasons for irregularities that you spot in your results and reject these where necessary.
- Look at the reliability of your results.
Maybe you feel that your measurements were not as accurate as they should have been.
- Suggest how you could improve the way you tackled this investigation.
- Suggest further investigation that could take place to test your conclusions.
You are now in a position to look at all the evidence you have gathered in this NSO Investigation.
Drawing Conclusions
Draw up your conclusions to the investigation. In other words, write a few sentences about the main things you have discovered during your analysis.Pay particular attention to . . .
- Checking that your conclusions are consistent with the evidence you have obtained.
- Explaining how your results support or even undermine your original prediction.
- Giving an explanation for your conclusions in the light of your knowledge and understanding of science.
Once done you have finished your investigation.
WELL DONE!
