Registration Process

  1. Soon after submitting the registration form with your details, you will receive an automated e-mail detailing your two usernames and passwords:

    • the teacher username/password will be used when sending in your requests for observations and for downloading software to install on school and home computers;
    • the student username/password allows pupils to request and download their own images of the moon, planets, galaxies, gas clouds, comets, asteroids and much more.

  2. When we receive details of schools electing to register, some of those details will be passed onto the LJMU marketing department in order to secure registration support for your school. Note that LJMU may send some marketing material and information to the named school contact, but that school details will not be passed outside of LJMU, of which the NSO is a part.

  3. Every year following registration, schools will be asked to re-register with the NSO in order to check that their given details remain correct and that schools wish to maintain membership.
