Stimulating young people's interest in science and technology is an important aim of the National Schools' Observatory project. In support of this aim all NSO registered schools have the permission of the National Schools' Observatory to copy NSO software provided it is restricted for:
It is recognised that registered schools cannot guarantee that pupils do not copy NSO software themselves to third parties. However, we ask that registered schools explain the copyright rules to pupils who are provided with copies of any NSO software.
Teachers can make copies of any NSO software for use in the preparation of lessons, and are given permission to take copies of that software home for this purpose.
