The Liverpool Telescope Enclosure


The JMU Liverpool Telescopes' enclosure at the international observatory site 2400 metres above sea level on the island of La Palma in the Canaries. In the background is the William Herschel Telescope which shares the mountaintop with telescopes from several nations. In the foreground you can see the mast of the LT Weather Station.

The dark sky above the telescope even during the day shows this high altitude.
