Shipping to La Palma
Late last night, the Liverpool Telescope left the UK and started on its trip
over to La Palma.
You can just see the blue floodlit
towers of the Liver Building in the background.
The ship, the Kay L is
docked and ready for loading.
The telescope and enclosure are loaded carefully on to the ship.
Late at night, the ship
leaves on the high tide.
