Europa, or Jupiter II, is unusual because it has very few craters. This means that the surface is quite new, so old craters have been covered up.

The surface is, in fact, covered with a thick layer of ice.

The ice has lots of cracks in it, which show up as dark lines

Below the ice, there is probably liquid water. Life on Earth needed water to form, so this may mean that simple forms of life exist on Europa!
