| I initially trained as a physicist at undergraduate level. I figured that I'd like to do research into physics although I wasn't sure what subject area. I chose Stellar Astrophysics as it seemed to encompass so many physical scales and physical regimes simultaneously - something which almost no other branch of physics did. (At the moment, working on stellar winds/outflows, I effortlessly dance between atomic transitions/plasma physics to star sized flow scales!). Astrophysics also had the prettiest pictures of the physical sciences. | ||
